What to Expect?
A break from your worries
A connection with others who share your troubles
An encounter with the God of all creation
A community where people know your name
A family where everyone is glad you came
An opportunity to share your gifts with those in need.
A warm welcome – “May the LORD’s face shine upon you”
Each week, you will find the same faces at the door to warmly greet you. Why? Because they are passionate about giving a warm welcome and answering your questions: from current activities, kid’s classrooms to good places to eat.
A message of hope that deals with real life issues -
What if your boss called you and said, “I’ve got good news for you.” Would you be interested? We share a message of good news for all who listen. The message is the story of the God who brings real change.
A constructive, safe learning environment for all ages
Each week, you will find the same faces teaching your children and youth. Why? We believe that growth is experienced in meaningful relationships. Our teachers are passionate about the ongoing development and growth of your children and youth.
Environments:
Corporate Worship: Sunday 10:45AM – 12:00PM
- Corporate worship here at AFCN is best described as united worship. We celebrate unity in diversity. In worship, we encounter the living God as One. We give praise to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- Nurturing care is provided for nursery age children during worship. They will participate in corporate worship on a regular basis by doing presentations and other activities with their class.
- The toddlers through fifth graders begin in corporate worship to sing praises and participate in dramas or other presentations. They are then dismissed for age appropriate lessons and activities.
Smaller Groups: Building meaningful relationships with others who share your interests, challenges, and common life experiences.
- Sunday Mornings at 9:30AM – 10:30AM: Adults, Young Adults, Youth (6th – 12th Grade), Children (1st – 5th Grade), Preschool Pals (8 weeks – Kindergarten)
- Wednesday Evening at 7:00PM – 8:30PM
- Women of the Word – Women’s group currently studying Amazing Freedom. This is a twelve week study on discovering all the freedom we can have when living for Christ.
- Band of Brothers Praying Together – Men banding together to become more dependent upon God through praying with one another.
- Caravan – This is a “scouting-like” learning experience. This activity is for all children.
